Beautiful 1st Edition, in exquisite condition, signed twice by Burgess on two laid-in letters addressed to an editor at the Baltimore Sun newspaper.
The second letter is a copy of the first, but contains a live signature. The letter references two subjects, the first asking for a review to be included in the Sun's Book Review section. The second contains a request from the Mariners Museum in Newport News, Virginia to house the negatives from world-renowned photographer A. Aubrey Bodine, who was a photographer for the Sun during his career and some of whose negatives were in the possession of Bodine's wife, the photographer having died the year this book was published and who also supplied photographs for this volume.
