Niagara's Great Gorge Trip - 1931 Pictorial Map

Buffalo, NY: International Railway Company, 1931. Very Good. Item #13194

GORGEOUS 1931 Great Depression-era illustrated pictorial map of the Niagara Frontier from Niagara Falls in the South to Lewiston, NY at the North.

This aerial bird's-eye view is from the the Canadian vantage point and looks across the Niagara River into New York State.

Bright colors identify current and past landmarks, such as the Whirlpool, both the American and Canadian Falls, Terrapin Tower, which stood along the precipice of the Canadian Falls along Goat Island in the 19th century until it was blown up in 1873, the Toronto Steamer steamship landing, and the Railway Route which descended into the Gorge at Niagara Falls, NY and rolled along both sides of the river, crossing the bridge at Lewiston.

This historic map measures 32" X 8 1/2" and is PERFECT for framing and display!
