Sunspots and Their Effects From the Human Point of View

New York: Whittlesey House, 1937. 1st Edition. 8vo. Very Good / Very Good. Item #13244

Beautiful Association copy inscribed by Stetson on the front end paper to good friend and presumably fellow scientist Robert Gremley.

Presumed 1st Edition (NAP).

"To my good friend Bob Gremley with best wishes - H.T.S. - May the sunspots come up to your expectations"

Stetson was one of the premier astronomical physicists of the early 20th century, taught at the likes of Dartmouth, Harvard and MIT and even has a crater on the moon named after him.

Navy blue cloth with gilt titling to spine. Square tight binding. Clean interior, save for Gremley's small personal stamp to the front pastedown. Dust jacket with mild wear. Presents handsomely in archival mylar.

A superior edition, and quite scarce as a signed copy.
