A beautiful 1948 Smokey Bear Fire Prevention published in 1948, just four years after Smokey came into being.
The poster features four panels, each depicting the proper extinguishing of different fire catalysts, such as cigarettes, campfires and matches. Two other panels feature Smokey and his iconic 'Only you can prevent forest fires!"
Artist Albert Staehle is credited with creating the first Smokey Bear image in 1944.

Mild wear, including pin holes, a few small corner creases and a 3/4" thin vertical tear along the top left edge, which appears to be damage created by a push pin.
