This map features property owner names and some building footprints as they were shortly after the Civil War during the last year of Reconstruction.
Iconic landmarks, such as Turkey Point, Carpenter's Point, the Principio Furnace, and others are depicted, as are the long-defunct lines of the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Railroad.
In the lower right corner is a colored street map of Principio Furnace in vignette.
This map is from the Lake Griffing & Stevenson 1877 Atlas of Cecil County and is quite rare.
