Beautiful 1944 collection of color photographs of important Maryland architectural landmarks, mostly early mansions.

Featured alongside each of the 24 photographs is a detailed description of the subject. Depicted are iconic Maryland wonders such as Perry Hall in Talbot County, Deep Falls in St. Mary's, the historic Courthouse in Westminster, the Taney House Kitchen in Frederick, Widehall in Chestertown and many more.

This work is labeled as 'Volume I', but we can find no record of any subsequent editions being published. This volume is quite scarce.

White plastic comb binding in very nice condition. Tan paper-covered typographical boards. Clean interior. Small scuff to lower left of front board. Pages with mild age toning around edges.

A handsome and desirable piece of WW II era Maryland history.
