A beautiful 1918 1st Edition of 26 halftone photographic plates from this iconic early 20th-century disciple of Stieglitz. These photos were produced early in Bruguiere's career when he operated from his own studio in San Francisco, and document turn of the century San Fran, with many coming in the aftermath of the Earthquake and fire.
Original typographical boards boards with large photographic plate mounted to front cover. Mild edge wear. Inside clean and bright, with just a hint of sporadic foxing to end papers and along the gutters of a few pages.
An gorgeous edition, not usually found in this condition.
