Three of the volumes are 1st Editions and three are early printings, with none printed after 1926, two years after the death of France.

The three 1st Edition titles are:

The Bloom of Life, 1923
The Elm Tree on the Mall, 1922
The Latin Genius, 1924

The other three are:

The Gods are Athirst, 1925
The Revolt of the Angels, 1926
Penguin Island, 1926

All are bound in publisher's red cloth, with tight bindings. Mild to moderate rubbing and edge wear, with sporadic foxing. Each has the signature of a previous owner on the front end paper.

Dust jackets overall in excellent condition, with mild wear and a few small chips. 'The Latin Genius' dust jacket has a six-inch closed separation along the outer front joint as wells as a few tape repairs. All dust jackets present handsomely in archival mylar.

Overall a quite lovely set of France not usually seen in this condition. An instant Anatole France Library!!
