A beautiful 1st Edition of this Rukeyser anthology, and extremely scarce as an inscribed association copy.
This copy is inscribed to Philip Gresham, an apparent friend and correspondent listed in her papers residing with the Library of Congress. Gresham's signature and date appear on the front end paper immediately below The inscription and signature of Rukeyser.
Rukeyser was one of the most influential feminists and poets of the 20th century, continually broadcasting the plight of the American worker through her work.
