The Autobiography of Frederick Douglass: Two Volume Vinyl Record Album Set (RARE)

New York: Folkway Records, 1966-1968. Near Fine / Very Good. Item #15345

A complete, very scarce, two-volume vinyl record set of the life of Orator and Civil Rights pioneer Frederick Douglass, edited by preeminent Douglass scholar Philip Foner and read by actor Ossie Davis.

Volume II (1968) has never been opened and remains in its factory seal.

Volume I contains the original record and record sleeve along with a four page booklet of text from Douglass' writings featured on the album.

The record, sleeve, and booklet all appear to be in excellent condition, with the record sleeve having the library stamp from Connecticut College on one of its sides.

The album sleeve of Vol. I has two stickers on the front side, one a bibliographic sticker and the other a withdrawn sticker with black marker, otherwise in excellent condition.

A handsome set and unique Douglass collectible tough to come by.
