An 1802 newspaper with an inside or back-page runaway slave ad from Maryland's Eastern Shore in Queen Anne's County.

This ad offers a $20 reward for the return of a male slave named Davy and was placed by James Kent. The ad goes into great detail describing Davy and reports the unusual characteristic that he "can spell and read some."

This original issue dates from May or June, 1802.

Very Good condition with mild edge wear and overall light general wear.
