Black cloth with faded gilt title on spine and bright Regimental emblem on front. Square tight binding. Clean interior. Dampstaining to rear pages, rear board and spine. Rear board has a thin vertical linear indentation reminiscent of possibly a string or rubber band around the book long ago.

A nice edition, a few defects but overall a handsome edition perfect for the researcher.
