1912 Lake George Steamboat Company illustrated Map Highlighting Steamboat Routes

Boston, MA: Rand Avery Supply Company, 1912. 1st Edition. Folio. Near Fine. Item #15534

A colorful early 20th-century map advertising the routes of The Delaware & Hudson Railroad Company and the Lake George Steamboat Company.

The map begins at Ticonderoga in the north and traverses the lake and its surrounding region to the historic town of Lake George along the southern shore. Along the way, the map depicts, hotels, historic sites, and geographic landmarks. In vignette in the lower right corner is a key index. Shadowed topography reflects the region’s rugged terrain, including Roger's Rock, the Narrows, Mt. Defiance, Sleeping Beauty, and many more.

This historic piece measures 20.5" X 6.5".

Original fold lines. Overall a quite attractive historic map from the beginnings of the Lake George Tourism Boom, perfect for framing and display!
