An uncommon early history of the beginnings of the Civil War, printed while the war was still raging across the country. Corrected and Improved Edition.
Green cloth with gilt shield to front and gilt titling to spine. Square tight binding. Clean interior. Moderate rubbing, edge wear, and soiling to binding, with a two-inch chip, possibly an animal chew mark, to fore edge of front board (see photos). Sporadic foxing.
Overall a very serviceable and uncommon piece, a nice starter piece for your Civil War collection, printed contemporarily during the year of the Battle of Gettysburg.
