Chaplain Fuller: Being a Sketch of a New England Clergyman and Army Chaplain

Boston: Walker, Wise and Co., 1863. 1st Edition. Small 8vo. Very Good. Item #15615

A lovely 1863 1st Edition and unique perspective on the Civil War, published in 1863 as the war was raging across the land.

Fuller gives nice eyewitness accounts of the Battle of Fredericksburg, the Peninsula Campaign as well as the duel between the Monitor and Merrimack at the Battle of Hampton Roads.

Dark green cloth. Square tight binding. Clean interior, save for previous owner address stamp and pencil mark to rear pastedown. Front hinge starting, but tight, with a separation of paper, but no hinge showing. Sporadic foxing.

Mild rubbing and edge wear, more so at spine ends.

Overall a handsome and unique perspective of the Civil War, that of the clergy.

Price: $75.00
