A beautiful 1870 edition of this Revolutionary War classic first-hand account. This 3rd Edition has the additional feature of a new biography of Light Horse Harry Lee by his son, Confederate General Robert E. Lee, who also wrote the preface to this new edition.

Lee was one of the most valuable officers on the Patriot side during the crucial Southern Campaigns of 1780-1781 and his leadership was instrumental in keep the Carolinas from falling under complete British control.

620pp + ads. Brown cloth with gilt titling to spine. Square tight binding. Clean interior, save for 19th century inscriptions to front end paper in pencil.
