An exquisite 1st Edition copy of one of Byron's scarcest works of poetry. Signed by the Maryland poet on the half title page.
Black cloth with silver titling to front an spine. Square tight binding and clean interior, save for previous owner signature to top of front pastedown, underneath the jacket flap.
Byron's third volume of poetry was more melancholy than his first two works due to the effects of WW II.
Original publication was limited to just 500 copies. White Collar and Chain is extremely scarce and even more so with intact dust jacket. This copy has very light wear to board and spine edges. The dust jacket has very mild edge wear and presents handsomely in archival mylar.
A lovely and quite desirable edition.
