A lovely late 19th-century book of historic photographs and illustrations of the White Mountains, published during the infancy of the Cog railway and the Summit House as the region was beginning to experience the first boom of regional tourism following the Civil War.
Twenty two illustrations, colored from original photographs, on 12 accordion-style pages.
Red cloth with elaborate gilt and black decor. Red cloth tape along the spine. Square tight binding. Clean interior. Mild rubbing and edge wear to binding. A few scuffs along the margins of some page edges.
