This 1782 1st Edition of the 1781 Annual Register features accounts of the Battles of Kings Mountain, Cowpens, Guilford Courthouse and the Siege of Yorktown, including the surrender of Cornwallis.

The Annual Register was cofounded by important Age of Enlightenment philosopher Edmund Burke and he served as is editor and chief author during its early years. Still published today, the Register records and analyses the year's major events, developments and trends throughout the world.

Original binding of half calf over marbled-paper covered boards. Binding is tender with the front board attached on the inside by cloth tape. 207pp + Index. Rubbing and wear to binding, more so at edges and corners. Ex-library with a few markings. Spine ends chipped.

Overall a very serviceable example of this important publication, containing Revolutionary War accounts from the British perspective during the climactic days of the Revolution.
