An 1877 Manuscript partial will and testament of Mary Denny of Talbot County, Maryland, from the estate of Samuel Harrison, 19th-century gentleman farmer and historian, and signed by him on the verso.

This document is also signed at the bottom by Tilghman N. Chance, the Registrar of Wills in Talbot County at the time.

In this will, Denny leaves a total of $9000, a substantial sum in those days, to various relatives, including Bradford Harrison, Addison Blaney Harrison, as well as directing Samuel Harrison, author of the document and executor of Denny's will, to invest the sum of $5000 to benefit Denny's grandsons.
