A spectacular 1882 Illustrated Bird's Eye View of Washington, DC featuring iconic historic landmarks such as the U.S. Capitol, the White House, and the still as-yet-to-be completed Washington Monument.

Also included is the Baltimore & Potomac Railroad Depot where President James Garfield had just recently been assassinated. At the bottom is a key to the 25 landmarks identified on the map.

This historic piece was published shortly after the end of Civil, War Reconstruction and measures 22" X 16". Offered here is the complete 16-page newspaper with the map as a double-page centerfold. Lightly tanned pages.
