This map features property owner names and some building footprints as they were shortly after the Civil War during the last year of Reconstruction.
In addition to the Cecilton region, this map also features two vignettes of other Cecil County towns - Fredericktown and Warwick.
Iconic landmarks, such as Bohemia and Sassafras Rivers are depicted, as is the Cranberry Fishery, Grove Point, .the half-mile horse-racing track in Warwick, and much more. On each side are listed original post-Civil War business sponsors.
This map is from the Lake Griffing & Stevenson 1877 Atlas of Cecil County and is quite rare.
