An exceptional 1st Edition set of all six volumes of Churchill's WW I masterpiece, luxuriously rebound in half green morocco over marbled-paper covered boards.
This set is a mixture of four American editions and two British 1st Editions, the two being the two-part 1916-1918 set. Three of the four American editions are 1st editions, with Volume I being a 1928 printing.
Spines uniformly bound in green morocco with raised bands, burgundy leather title labels and ruling and titling stamped in gilt. Boards bound in green-marbled paper, with two of the volumes being a darker and four volumes being a lighter shade of green.
Square tight bindings. Clean interiors. Mild edge wear, with a few of the spine labels also worn along the edges. Some mild age toning around edges.
Interiors clean and bright, with errata slips tipped in. Profusely illustrated with maps and charts, many folding.
Overall a striking 1st Edition set of this WW I masterpiece.
