Original calf, with gilt ruling to spine and burgundy title label. xxii, [1], 686pp, [4]. Square tight binding. Clean interior, save for contemporary signatures to front flyleaf. "Samuel Thaxter & Son Nautical and Mathematical Instruments - Boston" Advertisement to front pastedown. Sporadic foxing throughout. Leather rubbed and a touch worn with moderate edge wear. Some mild dampstaining toward upper rear of volume.
Overall a handsome and very nice example of Blunt's defining work.
