Original calf, with gilt ruling to spine and burgundy title label. xvi, 328, 85, [23]. Square tight binding. No front endpapers. Advertisement for William Hooker and Edmund Blunt pasted down to front pastedown, not original to the original binding and dated July 1818. Leather with rubbing and wear, including a chip to crown of spine (see pics). Shallow crease down spine. Some separation to upper joints. Sporadic foxing throughout. Some pages of ads at rear with wrinkles and tears.
Overall, a very nice early New York edition of Blunt's defining work.
