New York: Edmund M. Blunt, 1837. 13th Edition. 8vo. Good. Item #18120

A nicely-rebound 1837 printing of THE seminal early American coastal navigation guide, re-backed in early sailcloth. This is the 13th Edition.

Seventeen engraved black-and-white map plates.

Rebound in brown levant morocco with red and gilt title label, with gilt ruling to spine. xix, 724, [1], [2]. Square tight binding. Clean interior, save for contemporary ownership info to front leaves. This volume has the January, 1838 appendix but not the July, 1838 appendix announcing the move of Blunt's business, as called for in Campbell. However, it DOES have that removal notice affixed to the verso of the front endpaper.

Overall, a nice early 19th-century edition of Blunt's defining work.

Price: $300.00
