A very nice 1828 1st Edition inscribed by Reverend Grant at the top of a front prelim.

Contemporary calf dyed black with titling and ruling in gilt and edge decor stamped in blind. Square tight binding, though outer joints a bit tender. Clean interior, save for contemporary bookplate to front pastedown. Marbled endpapers and text block edges. Burgundy title label to spine. Silk bookmark. 189pp. plus ad. Mild rubbing and edge wear, with corners lightly turned.

Overall a handsome copy of a scarce edition.
