Lot of 24 broadside sheets featuring more than 100 images from the towns, farms, and homesteads of McDonough County, Illinois, depicting life in the rural Midwest during Civil War Reconstruction.
These historic pieces, generally architectural in nature, feature landmarks such as the stock farm of William H. Black, the Manly and Sperry homesteads, the Abraham Newland General Store in Colchester, a beautiful street scene in Macomb centered around Campbell's Hall and the Eagle Printing Office, F. Kachler's Marble Works in Bushnell, the Hendee Store in Bushnell, and many, many more.
This broadsides are from the 1871 Andreas, Lyter Atlas of McDonough County and are in very good condition with just a hint of edge wear.
