A rare account of Civil War participants from Montana/Idaho Terrritory, signed and inscribed by the author on the front endpaper.

Montana was part of several territories during the Civil War - Territory of Montana (1864-1889): The most direct predecessor, formed from the eastern part of Idaho Territory, as settlers sought better self-governance amidst gold rushes.
Idaho Territory (1863-1864): Most of modern Montana was part of Idaho before the creation of Montana Territory.
Dakota & Nebraska Territories (1861-1864): Lands east of the Continental Divide had been part of these larger territories.

This volume, 69pp, lists known Civil War participants from the territory with brief biographies and facsimile signatures of some.
