London: William Baynes and Son, 1823. 1st UK Edition. 8vo. Very Good. Item #19181

Dwight was a Congregationalist minister, theologian, and author, as well as the eighth president of Yale College (1795–1817). The term "Cape Cod House" makes its first appearance in this work.

Tipped into the rear of Volume I is a previous auction record for the title along with one of the original spine labels.
