A marvelous 1946 1st Edition, a presentation copy from ASW Rosenbach's brother Philip to Elizabeth Baer, librarian of the John Work Garrett Library of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.

The front endpaper features an inscription, in the hand of Baer, stating - "Elizabeth Baer/September 19, 1946/from Philip H. Rosenbach".

Publisher's cloth. Square tight binding. Clean interior. Gilt to spine somewhat faded, with the spine lightly age toned. Tipped in to the front endpaper is a typed note and laid in index card with a bibliographic history of the book.

Presents handsomely in a clear, archival mylar dust jacket.
