A lovely 1922 1st Edition with outstanding Nursing School provenance, the front endpaper of this edition featuring a gift inscription from the St Luke's Alumni Association to the St. Luke's Hospital Training School for Nurses in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

An added bonus here are three Clara Barton and Red Cross ephemeral items laid in; those being a 1933 post card dedicated to Clara Barton from the USS Relief Hospital Ship, signed by Chief Nurse Mary Hamlin (?); Three Mint U.S. Postage Stamps honoring the Red Cross; and lastly a 1948 First Day Issue envelope with canceled stamp honoring Clara Barton, Founder of the American Red Cross.

Blue cloth with titling in gilt to spine. 1562pp. Square tight binding. Clean interior. Mild rubbing and edge wear, Presents handsomely in a clear, archival mylar dust jacket.
