A lovely hand-colored map of the Northeastern portion of the United States, originally engraved for Virtue's "American Scenery.
This interesting map features an inset of Virginia and Maryland in the lower right. It traces the path taken by N P Willis throughout the US.
The states of Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island are features. Hand coloring appears to be of later origin.
This historic piece measures approximately 11" X 8" and is perfect for framing and display!
