A gorgeous 1950s pictorial map depicting the finest fishing hideaways in North-Central Pennsylvania, surrounded by 26 black and white fishing illustrations as well as 26 silhouette outlines of the various fish species found in the Keystone State.
This wilderness section of Pennsylvania, known as the Pennsylvania Wilds, features portions of Elk, Clearfield, Cameron, Potter, Tioga, Lycoming, and Clinton Counties. Two major tributaries are depicted, (the West Branch of the Susquehanna, as well as Pine Creek, home to the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania), as are countless smaller streams throughout the Wilds.
The Vignette illustrations include Wykoff Run, Parker's Dam, Hunt's Run, the Pine Creek Gorge, Kettle Creek, East Branch Dam, Lick Run, Lake Rene, and many others.
In the lower right is a key identifying stocked trout streams, trails, roads, restricted streams, polluted streams, fire towers, state parks, and more.
