1778 Revolutionary War Connecticut Pay-Table Expense Voucher for Patriot Soldier Hospital Stay

A fascinating 1778 Revolutionary War medical document authorizing a payment of 5L,6S,3P by the state of Connecticut for the Hospital stay of a Patriot soldier.
The voucher authorizes the stay for Salmon Burr (1747-1800 born in Bloomfield, CT. Burr served in the 5th Connecticut Regiment and was part of Washington's Army at the Battles of Long Island. White Plains, Trenton, Princeton, as well as the Battles of Brandywine and Germantown in 1776 and 1777, and at Monmouth in 1778. The 5th Connecticut marched south with Washington in 1781 and participated at the Siege of Yorktown.
This pay voucher is signed By Connecticut Pay-Table members John Chenward, Ezekiel Williams, and John Lawrence, the state treasurer.
The Connecticut Pay Table, also known as the Committee of Four, was responsible for managing military finances during the American Revolutionary War in Connecticut. This committee included prominent members who oversaw the payment and accounting for soldiers and military expenses.
Williams was a merchant from Wethersfield, CT. Before the war he served as a Captain of Militia and Sheriff of Hartford County. He spearheaded the effort to gather supplies for the relief of Boston when the port was blockaded due to the Intolerable Acts. In 1777 he was appointed Commissary of Prisoners.
The back the document is signed by Jedediah Olcott and is numbered '9347'. The paper features a small crown watermark at the bottom. Olcott was a ship Captain from Hartford and master of the six-gun ship, 'Zephyr' during the War of 1812.
