Black cloth with silver foil to front an spine. Square tight binding and clean interior. Byrons third volume of poetry, was more melancholy due to the effects of WWII than his first two poetry volumes, These Chesapeake Men - 1942 and Delaware Poems - 1943. Original edition limited to 500 copies. White Collar and Chain is extremely scarce and even more so in intact dust jacket. This copy is lightly foxed sporadically throughout and signed by Byron on the half-title page in black marker. Very light wear to board and spine edges. The jacket has light to moderate edge wear including a chip to top front panel joint and along top front fore edge. In addition there are three small discolorations to front panel on the upper left side. Presents handsomely in archival mylar.
