This photograph features a very young William P. Kemp, Easton native and member of one of the oldest Quaker families on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
The family migrated north along the Eastern Shore from Virginia when the Quakers were expelled from the colony in the 17th century.
Kemp is seated in the front row, center. Kemp was chairman of the family owned and nationally influential Easton Furniture Company.
This historic piece measures 18.5" X 16 1/4" and is a fantastic piece of Easton, Maryland history!
