Two original 1864 and 1865 MARYLAND CIVIL WAR UNION ARMY CHAPLAIN Requisition Forms, submitted by Arthur Brickman, a U.S. Army Chaplain for the 3rd Maryland Infantry and the 1st Maryland cavalry.

The 1864 document is for a horse for use in the field in Virginia in December 1864. The second is for stationary, also in Virginia, near the end of the war from January thru March, 1865.

Both documents are filled out and signed by Brickman in original iron gall ink.
